You thought you got a great bargain on eBay or Craigslist but found out the T-Mobile iPhone you bought has bad ESN/IMEI. Continue reading on how to fix it.

Many people are cheated when they purchased iPhones on the internet because the devices were sold cheaply. Little do people realize that it’s cheap because the iPhone itself was blacklisted by the carrier or in other words, it has bad ESN or IMEI.

The first thing you found out when you got your iPhone is that it’s not getting any signal from your carrier, or that probably happened a few days after your purchase. You’re pretty sure that there’s no hardware issue but after spending hours online looking for a solution or explanation, you finally found out that it’s been blacklisted by your network provider.

A few years ago, I wrote a blog post about ‘What Ever Happens to IMEI Blacklisted iPhones or Other Popular Smartphones?‘ This will help you understand more on why your iPhone got blacklisted in the first place. Although it’s a few years old, it’s still very much applicable until today.

Thankfully, your day will get better today because we actually have a service to remotely fix your iPhone or Samsung with bad ESN. Firstly, you need to go to T-Mobile’s website to determine if your device is really blacklisted. On T-Mobile’s website, enter the 15-digit IMEI which you can find on Settings > General > About and it will return the result as blocked, lost or stolen.

If it shows Congratulations! …. instead, that means the device is not blacklisted. You’re good to use your phone.

Once you have determined and confirmed that it’s blacklisted, use our Remote Fix for T-Mobile USA iPhone with Bad ESN/IMEI service to clean it. All we need is the same 15-digit IMEI. Do note that this service also works for Samsung, HTC or any device on T-Mobile network.

The screenshot below shows how a device is added to block list.

A few things to note is that the service doesn’t remove it from unpaid bills list. It will only fix if it’s reported lost, stolen or blocked.

We have cleaned close to a thousand devices for the past few months and here’s a sample of devices which have been cleaned. It has high success rate.

It may feel that it’s the end of the world when you’re in this situation. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Someone out there had gone through what you’re feeling right now. So order this service here and everything will be sorted soon!
