iOS 7.1 Cannot be Jailbroken with Evasi0n 7 Anymore as Apple has Patched the Exploits

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic!

Are you enjoying your fully jailbroken iOS 7.0.4? Good. However, when iOS 7.1 is made available for public soon, don’t update your device because you can’t jailbreak it just yet.

This would be the standard advise that every jailbreaker should know and keep in their heads. Apple, being Apple, would patch any exploits or any potential exploit that can be used to jailbreak in every iOS update.

The news has been confirmed by ih8sn0w, the developer of sn0wbreeze in his Twitter today.

iOS 7.1 is currently on Beta version 4 which is only available to developers. The first 3 versions (Beta 1, 2, and 3) were still exploitable and many people with access to the developers account have installed iOS 7.1 beta and used evasi0n 7 to jailbreak it.

Unfortunately, as soon as iOS 7.1 is out, you may have to wait until hackers come up with another solution to jailbreak your device. It’s best to wait and hold if jailbreaking is extremely important for you. No one knows for sure how long would it take for the next jailbreak to become available.
