iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak happened recently and another hacker just shown that it can be done using iOS internet browser.
If you’ve been using iPhone since the early days, this news will make you excited again because an Italian hacker called Todesco was able to exploit iOS 9.3.2 to jaibreak it simply using Safari Browser.
This method is similar to the one developed by Comex a few years ago, who has been involved in a number of browser-based jailbreaks for iOS. This method was super easy because there’s no software to be downloaded or installed.
Essentially what you need to do is to open a link on Safari and simply tap to start jailbreaking your device. We still remember doing it when we had to unlock iPhones via jailbreaking. Nowadays, that’s no longer needed and you can even get your iPhone officially unlocked like the method here.
He demoed it on a video for a 6th generation iPod touch running iOS 9.3.2.
Rumour has it that Todesco will not make the exploit public and we may not be even able to play with this jailbreak. Time will tell. According to him it will only be used as private research.
Despite how Apple is doing their best to make it iOS secure, hackers were still able to hack it proving that smartphone OS is still vulnerable.
