iPhone 4 Baseband Chip Downgrade from 4.11.08 to 4.10.01 Service Now Available

Baseband downgrade from 4.11.08 to 4.10.01 via chip replacement is now possible on iPhone 4.

My team and I would like to present sort of a good news for those who are currently stuck on baseband 4.11.08 as we managed to downgrade an iPhone 4′s baseband from 4.11.08 to 4.10.01 earlier today on 22 October, 2011.

However, It’s still not now possible to downgrade to 1.59.00 to make it unlockable with ultrasn0w. We have tried this numerous times even before Gevey Turbo SIM was released.

It’s similar to our baseband chip replacement service for 3G and 3GS, but this method requires two different chips to be replaced – the Infineon X-GOLD 618 processor chip and the Intel/Numonyx 128MB NOR DDR chip.

Once your iPhone 4 baseband has been downgraded to 4.10.01, you can then unlock it with a Turbo SIM.

There are a few tiny setbacks with this method – your iPhone serial number and IMEI will change. That means you can only hacktivate (activate) it with redsn0w or use custom hacktivated firmware in order to do a full restore. However, it is still possible to use original firmware to restore your iPhone 4 if you ever need to; unlike iPhone 3G/3GS on baseband 6.15.00 which doesn’t allow you to restore at all.

We are currently doing extensive testing and planning to launch this service very soon have launched this service. Customers who get their baseband downgraded using this service with us will also be getting a FREE Gevey Blue Turbo SIM worth $44.95. If you have the tools and skills to replace them youself, purchase the chips here.

  1. Friend, I changed both baseband and NOR chips and baseband version still remains 4.11.08. I am 100% positive that donor motherboard had 4.10.01 on it. I tried it 3 times already with different motherboards and still no luck. After replacement baseband stays 4.11.08. What do I do wrong? Thanks in advance

  3. Ok question, how long is the turn around from the time I put my device in the mail until I get it back, second can we just buy the chips and do it ourselves and still get Turbo sim free? Or must we send you our phone or just the board? Is this service yet launched? Please advise, I have an iPhone 4 04.11.08 and I use tmobile.

  4. am i correct in thinking you will send the board back with baseband downgraded to 4.10.01 & A free Gevey Blue Turbo SIM so the phone will then work on any network ???

Please , tell me more a bit ! thank you

  7. is there anyway to reflash or verginize the bb chip X-GOLD 618, if no why? in my believe any electronic chip could be emptied via some way or special kit, have tried to get the full manual of the X-GOLD 618.

thx for ur hard work guys, u`r the best

  8. Some little question for you ,
Can you actually downgrade my own baseband chip and nor flash to 01.59.00 and not to install the new one?

      • do you have any videos or something for us to see how this thing works after changing the baseband chip…. i commend you guys for doing this thing but we also want to see something solid, you know what i mean. (hope i didnt offend you or anything.)

also what do you mean by this:

"Your iPhone's serial number and IMEI will change – this means you can only activate your iPhone using redsn0w or hacktivated custom firmware
You can restore to stock firmware without any issue but the point above (activating using redsn0w) still applies"

        • 1. IMEI and serial are stored inside these chips
          2. If you don't have the original IMEI and serial no, you won't be able to activate it via iTunes (with an official SIM card); most people would use redsn0w or custom firmware to activate it anyway

We'd like to make a video of it but really we're swamped at the moment!
