The news is just out today about Limesn0w purportedly by Geohot will unlock iPhone 3G or 3GS’ baseband 5.15.04 and iPhone 4′s baseband 3.10.01.
Upon checking the domain names – limera1n.com and limesn0w.com are registered to Geohot.
“This will never be real. Media, understand it. ~geohot” – what is written on limesn0w.com’s main page.
The photo below is also spreading like wildfire on the internet. One thing for sure is this photo is fake.Why?
The biggest thing that gave this away is what’s shown on the screen – Limesn0w by geohot. Unlock for 2.10.04, 5.15.01 basebands.
Wait – there is no baseband 5.15.01 – unless if this is a baseband version which we are not aware of. The only baseband released after 5.14.02 is 5.15.04.
Fake or real? Only time will tell. Geohot may surprise us, as always.

Is there any new update on how to unlock this phone WITHOUT using the baseband update (06.15.00) method?
Can I downgrade the baseband to an unlockable version? (say…with Fizzyband?)
