According to the news, Siri will have the ability to speak in Chinese next month, and is currently being tested internally. It is also rumored that Siri will also be available in Japanese and Russian. There will be hive of activities at Apple next month, as iOS 5.1 is rumored to be launched on March 9 and along with the third generation iPad.
Chinese support for Siri must be given a high priority by Apple, due to the strong growth the company is experiencing in China. The iPhone 4S launched on partner carrier China Unicom last month and China Telecom is touted to be next one.
On iPhone jailbreaking and unlocking side of this news, once iOS 5.1 is released, the current iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak would be patched by Apple. You should expect iPhone basebands to be updated again to seal off any potential exploits for unlocking. Currently, there’s still no method of unlock baseband 4.11.08 on iPhone 4.
