Must Download iOS Apps this Week: The Croods, Calendars, Super Stickman Golf 2

(Last Updated On: June 21, 2020)

Beginning this week we will start sharing and discussing new iOS apps and iOS tips and tricks instead of our regular iPhone repairs and fixes. Here some of our favorites this week.

The Croods (Free)

The Croods takes you back in time into the Stone Age adventure. You’re to hunt and gather through colorful landscapes in a bid to survive. This game was developed by the folks from Angry Birds maker Rovio. It’s the official game for the upcoming motion picture from DreamWorks.

The game challenges you to trap and tame “10 crazy Croodaceous creatures” – which are evolutionarily “mixed-up” creatures that are unlike anything you’ve ever seen before,  such as the Girelephant and the Molarbear as well as create inventions to open and explore new areas, according to a blog post from Rovio.

You’ll also have the chance to create wacky inventions which is critical for your survival, and also the ability to decorate your pre-historic world with the latest in caveman fashion accessories.

Super Stickman Golf 2 ($0.99)

Are you a golf freak? If you played Super Stickman before you may enjoy the sequel to one of the most enjoyable golf games on iOS. The developer promises to outdo its predecessor in “almost every possible way.”

Super Stickman Golf 2 features 20 dynamic courses with over 180 challenging holes, new power-ups, customizable characters, 60 achievements, and two multiplayer modes.

You will notice that the visuals are now better, including moving obstacles, portals, and magnets which makes it really attractive.

Want to play it with your friend? No problem – thanks to the turn-based multiplayer feature over Bluetooth. It also features iCloud syncing, so your progress can be synced between iOS devices.

Calendars (Free)

Need a better calendar system on your iOS device? Go ahead and try this one. This app is brought to you by Readdle, who creates many popular productivity apps for iOS. It used to cost $6.99 but it’s now available for free.

Calendars app is designed to be “the most elegant and easy to use calendar application available on the App Store.” It comes with the ability to sync with Google Calendar and Apple’s built-in Calendar app. You can also manage all of your events online or offline.

A lot of thoughts have been put into the user interface which makes it really easy for you to manage your schedule, you can quickly navigate between dates, and create new events or modify existing ones.

Since it’s syncs with Google Calendar you will be pleased to know that all the great Google Calendar features such as tasks, SMS reminders, recurring events, and invitations are already inclusive.
