  1. I like that they added a military aspect to the rules for unlocking. I am still under contract with AT&T, but they unlocked my phone for me, so I can use it while deployed.

  2. i just follow all the instructions and it works… its unlock now… so my question is… how much time will remain unlock.. cuz the last time i unlock it with sam´s last like 2 hours unlock and then when back 2 "no service" msg, what i mean its is a totally full unlock like the at&t service? btw sorry for my badspelling and stuff the english its no my original lenguaje

  3. Can someone please tell me an e-mail address to contact AT&T and request for unlock? I’m from overseas and hope there a chance for me to ask unlock to AT&T. Or maybe someone will help me?

    Thank you.

  4. For those of you who had success with this I have a question. How long after making the call and generating the case number did it take to receive the email? I would like to know how long I hafta wait.

    • I called at&t at 4:16 P.M and then Got an E-mail at 4:26

  6. I’m using my iPhone 4 in Indonesia, the phone was locked by at&t the only way to use it was with a sim gevey which works great when it works. I decided to call at&t on april 30th after reading a lot of topics regarding iPhone at&t unlock. Received a case number and the promise of an email with further instructions on steps to follow to unlock. On may 4th i received this

    Issue Tracking Number: CM20120418_xxxxxxxx

    Dear Customer:

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding your AT&T service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The issue has been resolved.

Should you have any further needs regarding this issue, please do not hesitate to call us at 1 800 331-0500 and reference the tracking number shown above.

    Sincerely,

    AT&T

I didn’t understand it so i gave at&t a call. They told me to wait till may 16th. Waited till may 16th no email on may 18th i decided to call at&t. They lady on the phone wasn’t helpful at all, i had the feeling that she didn’t know what she was talking about.

So i decided to follow the instructions as described in this forum. I didn’t receive the message congratulations your iPhone has been unlocked. I tested it with a simcard without the sim gevey and it works perfectly. I guess my iPhone is unlocked now, checked the baseband and its still the same.

My question is can i upgrade the os from 4.3.5 to 5.1? If yes will this effect the baseband and can i still use my phone after that?

    Thanks a lot
