The available method is by using an R-SIM, a third party device that’s embedded together with the SIM card. It uses an exploit that exists in the iOS 12. Once unlocked, you can use any carrier from around the world.

There’s already a post on this many years ago but since the new iPhone XS and XR are now available, the R-SIM has been updated to version 13. It’s now faster and more stable to get the latest iPhone unlocked.

Unlocking it is quite straight forward and simple, just be sure to follow the steps below with the R-SIM already installed on your iPhone.

How to Unlock Blacklisted iPhone XS and XR using R-SIM

1. Get the latest version of R-SIM online and then insert the R-SIM using the instructions that come with your purchase.

2. Launch the Emergency Call screen and enter this code *5005*7672*00# followed by the call button.

3. It will prompt for the ICCID. Enter this code: 8901-4104-2792-0258-7523 and Send.

4. Restart your iPhone and proceed with the iOS activation process.

5. Remove the R-SIM and insert your local carrier SIM card.

6. The iPhone is now unlocked.
