Are you already a customer with Canada Telus and need to unlock your iPhone? Try these free tips to unlock it for free.
If you are already a customer with Canada Telus or Koodo, you can request to unlock it for free by doing the following:
- Call Client Care to request the unlock for your iPhone.
- The Client Care representative will complete the steps to unlock your phone.
- Connect your iPhone to iTunes and wait for the message “Unlock Complete. Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked. To set up and sync this iPhone, click Continue”.
NOTE: An Internet connection is required in order for iTunes to unlock your device.
However, this is subject to eligibility as mentioned on their website:
Device unlocking applies to TELUS postpaid SIM-based devices that operate on our Mike, and 4G networks. In order to be eligible to have your device unlocked, you must ensure that your current device has been on the TELUS network for a minimum of 90 days and that your account is up to date and in good standing.
In some cases, there may be extra fees involved or imposed by Canada Telus to unlock your iPhone – the current applicable fee is now about $35. If you are not a Canada Telus/Koodo customer, you can still try to send a request by contacting their customer care directly.
Alternatively, we also offer factory unlocking service for Canada Telus or Koodo iPhone, and most can be done within 1-2 business days. The fastest turnaround time is about 12 hours after you place your order.
