The following was taken from gsmhosting’s forum:

It is also reported on some websites that the “Rebel” SIM is a really bad copy of Gevey Turbo SIM. Worst of all, it does not even work!

Here’s another discussion on another forum:

Last but not least, we feel really sorry for this Filipino guy on YouTube who bought so many of these and got the fakes instead.

He reported that:

  • They were shipped from Hong Kong when it is stated that on their website that they are made in the UK
  • The custom SIM tray had the word “Gevey” on it but was sanded off
  • The size of the chip is not as small as shown on the 3D rendering of the image (see above). You still need to trim your SIM card.
  • Again, the chip is too thick to fit into an iPhone, he had to sand off the chip
  • There is no such thing as “untethered” unlock – he had to do the exact steps used in Gevey Turbo SIM
  • The sales team at Rebel was not very helpful (they said “go to hell”, “F-word” etc.)
  • It works exactly the same as the Gevey Turbo SIM!

Now it’s up to you to believe this or not. We hope we did something for the iPhone community by giving everyone a warning!

  1. I GUESS YOU BOUGHT THE FAKE ONE!!!!!!!!!!. I ORDERED FOR 10 CHIPS FROM REBELSIMCARD.COM, GOT DELIVERED YESTERDAY, 8 OUT OF 10 WORKED PERFECTLY EVEN AFER I REBOOTED THE IPHON4. SEEING THE PICS OF THE MICROSIM PACKS IN THIS VIDEO, IT SHOWS U GOT THE FAKE ONE, COS MINE WAS A FLAT RECTANGULAR SHAPED PACK WITH JUST THE CHIP,TRAY AND SIM REMOVER. ALL THE BLACK ICs OF THE TEN CHIPS FITTED JUST FINE INTO THE IPHONE. U NEED TO BE CAREFULL NEXT TIME BROS, BUY DIRECTLY FROM THE SOURCE REBELSIMCARD.COM. LIKE I SAID, 8 OUT OF TEN WORKED SO I CANT REALLY SAY THEY ARE A SCAM. I ADMIT THEIR CS IS 0% EFFICIENT. BUT U CAN STAY AWAY THOUGH,SOLD 4 ALREADY!!!!!! RETAINING SIGNAL EVEN AFTER REBOOTING.

  2. I bought one from rebelsimcard.com. The chip doesnt need sanding as the video suggests (lucky?) but there is no such thing as “untethered unlock”
I followed the instruction for Gevey sim and it works. However the battery drained out within 6 hours of stading by over night.
I ordered from rebelsim.com because I live in the UK but the sim was sent from an address in HongKong!!!

  3. I just received my Rebel Microsim today may 20 2011! I ordered on april 18 back when the website said allow 7 days to process order. I am on Tmobile USA the iphone is on 4.3.3 and BB 4.10.01. I followed the instructions but the Rebel did not initially work. I kept trying and eventually got my tmobile sim working following the crappy guides on rebelsimcard.com. Even after reboot, the setting remain. I dont have to configure again. :-)
All is not well though, the data (edge) and mms do not work. I have tried many settings but to no avail. I will keep looking for answers for the data and MMS

  4. Well its been 2 days now. No updates on getting edge and MMS working. Rebelsimcard.com has no way to access customer support afaik. I sent a twitter message but no response yet. Although the card is somewhat working, I would not recommend to buy until they can at least respond to customers who have questions.

  5. I had the same experience.

I have purchased REBEL micro Sim Card from Solution Polint Limited and it is a SCAM.

    IT is a FRAUD.

Thjey never answer to my email. I have contacted both customer support, refund but no answer at all.

This is a world wide fraud. It should be stopped. If you had same experience please contact me at:

We can work together against these people.
