March 13 ‘Fun Day’ for Release of iPhone 4 Unlock Baseband 2.10.04, 3.10.01, 4.10.01 via Ultrasn0w 1.3?

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic!

The last ‘Sunday is Fun Day’ we had was on November 28 last year when ultrasn0w 1.2 was released to unlock baseband 6.15.00 for iPhone 3G and 3GS. That unlock came out a few days after iOS 4.2.1 was available for download via iTunes.

Now that iOS 4.3 will be officially available by March 11, the iPhone Dev Team may release the new version of ultrasn0w (1.3?) shortly after that, assuming the unlock is already available. This is based on @musclenerd’s tweet that no unlock will be released before iOS 4.3 is out.

Another speculation is that @musclenerd may have discovered a way to unlock baseband 5.14.02 and 5.15.04 for iPhone 3G/3GS.

  1. If you’re one of those people patiently waiting for an unlock for iPhone 4 other than baseband 01.59.00, we’ve got some bad news for you.

"@MuscleNerd sorry, there's no news on the i4 unlock for those who lost 01.59 (or never had it). It's taking longer than we wanted :("

According to a recent tweet from Dev Team frontman MuscleNerd, it is taking longer than expected to get the unlock figured out. With the official release of iOS 4.3 earlier today, the Dev Team most likely encountered new bumps on their road to unlock…

If you’re still on baseband 01.59.00 though, you can always jailbreak and unlock using UltraSn0w.

so forget there is no unlock for these baseband.

  3. It's quite obvious now that there will not be a unlock for BB 2.10.04. One thing I cannot understand is, why were iPhone owners not told the truth. What advantage to the Hackers have in misleading the Public. Maybe iPhone sales would go down or Apple has paid off people, I just don't get it. Anyone?
